I purchased two of these lamps yesterday and they are the perfect addition to my desk. They are small, but quite sturdy, and very sleek/modern. Used with Sylvania Living Spaces 13 watt CFL bulbs (they are mini, just like the lamp), the lamps put out just the right amount of soft, clean light to brighten up my office. I love them, and they work perfectly!

I like the style of this lamp, and although quite small it’s what I expected for the low price. But the lampshade is a real puzzler. There is no hardware to hold the shade at the proper height. The only way is to mount the shade at the base of the lightbulb (before it is screwed in). But that way, the lightbulb ends up being taller than the shade! And overall, it makes for a much shorter lamp, about a full inch shorter than the height listed in the product description. I’m still not sure if I can adapt it somehow. What a shame.

When I bought them for my nigh table I thought they were bigger, I was wrong to small, but it is my fault I didn’t read the details.

If you are looking for a simple table lamp this will fit the bill. It works with the new “expensive” green lights as I put this one in our barn with a dusk to dawn sensor and it works with the new bulbs and I don’t have to change it that often. Excellent simple table light, no frills, just works.
