These lights are not well made. A tug in the wrong direction and the lights go out. Need to be made much stronger at the “joints” to hold up. Buy net lights on sale and save yourself a bundle.

This review addresses the LED version of the Lawn Lights. I have not used the incandescent version and cannot speak to its merits.
This is unique decoration that I have not seen before, even here in a city where Christmas decorations are an art form. The effect is interesting, eye-catching, and evokes many comments and compliments. The lights can be laid out and picked up very quickly, an asset here in the deep south where we mow lawns in mid-winter.
A couple of points. First, the smaller the property you wish to cover, the more lights you need per unit area. Widely spaced lights in a large, open field look fine. On a modest suburban yard, they look sparse. I ordered one length of lights for my lawn but will obtain a second before next Christmas. Second, follow the manufacturer’s recommendation and buy a reel to hold the lights. The reels are cheap and they work well. Third, while the manufacturer touts the build quality of the lawn lights they actually appear to be no better constructed than LED lights that you can buy at Christmas in every WalMart or Home Depot. Handle them carefully.
Overall, I really like Lawn Lights and recommend them to others.

I liked the idea of a long string of lights without attaching multiple groups so I ordered this set. While this fit the need, I feel the description should indicate how many lights per foot. The lights are spaced too far apart for my taste, about 5 feet, but they were easy to handle, as stated.

I went with these very confidently based on the two 5 star reviews. However, for my taste there were just not enough lights in the reel to justify the purchase. Granted, these will cover a lot of area but the lighting is at best sparse. I also had a broken lightbulb which made it even worse, because I felt that I had to make each lightbulb count. If you do decide to go with these, one tip I have for all the slack from the wires (which you will have plenty of) is to wrap the slack around the stakes, and then put them into the ground. That gives a much cleaner look. Apart from that, this is the one and only christmas I will be using them for.

We put these lights out this year, and we got many compliments on them! They look just like the product pictures. We even had a snow and they shone up through the snow for an amazing display. The lights took virtually 20 minutes to put out, and had a big impact on our exterior illumination! We used 2 sets for maximum visibility, but one set probably could have done the job. Definitely worth the investment, and our friends and neighbors were very impressed (little did they know we spent minutes rather than hours on our Christmas lights this year!) Great creative product!!
